My name is Maxime Laravine. I was born in Mulhouse (Alsace), and have been living in Strasbourg since 2014.

History and culture have been my passions since I was a child, and have pushed me to become a tour guide. I obtained the official national Tour Guide Speaker card in 2021.

To be able to work with international clients, I obtained the "Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English - Grade C1" in 2022.

As an official Tour Guide Speaker, I offer you exclusive visits that are normally closed to the public.

Mr. Maxime was a great tour guide. He helped me understand the local French and German history behind the Struthof concentration camp. I learned that Struthof was a concentration camp, where prisoners were forced to work and starved, not an extermination camp like Auschwitz. It was still brutal, with harsh conditions meant to break people physically and mentally.

Maxime est génial. Il est très bien informé, professionnel et personnel. Il nous a emmenés dans des endroits au-delà de la cathédrale et des canaux. Il a fait vivre pour nous l'histoire de Strasbourg. Je recommande vivement si vous voulez quelque chose de différent.

Nous avons récemment visité Strasbourg avec Viking River Cruises et M. Laravine était le guide de notre visite à pied. Maxime était un guide touristique absolument exceptionnel et merveilleux. Il est capable de trouver un équilibre parfait entre informer et divertir ses invités et sa passion pour le sujet est plus qu'évidente. Ma femme et moi avons eu beaucoup de chance d'avoir un guide aussi merveilleux.
